How an Aadhaar eSign works
The signer needs an Aadhaar number and the mobile number linked to it. Nothing to install.
Send the document
Upload the PDF through the API or the dashboard, add the signers and where each one signs.
The signer authenticates
Each signer enters their Aadhaar number or VID and the one-time password UIDAI sends to their linked mobile.
The signature is applied
A licensed eSign Service Provider issues a signing certificate for that signer and signs the document.
You get the signed PDF
The signed document comes back with its audit trail - who signed, when, and the certificate used. One completed signer is one eSign.
What you are charged for
UIDAI authenticates each signer separately, so you pay per completed signer - never per page or per attempt.

Legally valid electronic signatures
Aadhaar eSign is an electronic signature recognised under Section 3A and the Second Schedule of the Information Technology Act, 2000. Each signature is issued by a CCA-licensed eSign Service Provider after UIDAI authenticates the signer.
Some documents cannot be signed electronically under the First Schedule of the Act, among them wills, negotiable instruments other than cheques, and contracts for the sale of immovable property.
Aadhaar eSign pricing questions
Is Aadhaar eSign legally valid in India?
Yes. Aadhaar eSign is an electronic signature recognised under Section 3A and the Second Schedule of the Information Technology Act, 2000, issued by a CCA-licensed eSign Service Provider after UIDAI authenticates the signer with an OTP.
Is the price really the same at any volume?
Yes. Every completed Aadhaar eSign costs ₹24 plus 18% GST, whether you sign ten documents a month or a hundred thousand. Enterprise contracts with postpaid invoicing and an SLA are priced separately.
Am I charged per document, per signer or per page?
Per completed signer. A document signed by three people is three eSigns. The number of pages does not change the price.
What if the signer enters a wrong OTP or never signs?
You are not charged. Only a signer who completes signing counts as an eSign.
What does the signer need?
An Aadhaar number (or Virtual ID) and access to the mobile number linked to that Aadhaar, to receive the OTP from UIDAI. There is nothing to install.
Do you charge for seats or dashboard users?
No. Add as many dashboard users as your team needs at no extra cost.
Do I get a GST invoice?
Yes. Prices are shown before GST; 18% GST is added on the invoice, which a GST-registered business can claim as input tax credit.
