What is a GST verification API?
An API that checks a GSTIN against GST records and returns the registered legal name, trade name, address, registration status and type. The GST Advanced API adds filing history and compliance, promoter details, turnover data and e-invoice applicability for deeper vendor and merchant checks.
How do I find a GSTIN from a PAN or a business name?
Use GSTIN by PAN to list every GSTIN registered to a PAN, state by state, with the status of each; GSTIN by Name to search by business name across states; or Mobile to GST to find a GSTIN from a mobile number.
Can I check GST return filing status?
Yes. The GST Advanced API returns filing history and compliance for a GSTIN, and the GSTR-1A, 2A, 2B and 3B data APIs return the filed return details for a GSTIN and return period, for reconciliation and credit checks.
What is KYB and which business checks are included?
KYB (know your business) is KYC for a company: proving it exists, is registered and is run by who it says. Beyond GST, FastKYC covers MSME Udyam registration (by Udyam number, PAN or mobile), company CIN and director DIN from MCA records, Import Export Code, FSSAI licence, TAN, LEI and bank account verification for the payout account.
How is this different from looking a GSTIN up on the GST portal?
The portal is one manual lookup at a time. The API returns the registration data as JSON inside your onboarding flow, so every vendor or merchant is checked at signup and can be re-checked on a schedule without anyone copying numbers.
