What if the employee enters the wrong OTP?
The API returns a failure and the flow does not proceed. Allow a retry, and generate a new OTP if the original has expired.
Does this return the provident fund data itself?
No. It confirms authentication. Fetch records with the employment history or EPFO detail endpoints once authentication has succeeded.
How long does authentication stay valid?
Treat it as valid for the immediate session only. Re-authenticate for a later lookup rather than reusing an old consent.
