Mobile to UAN resolves a mobile number to the Universal Account Numbers associated with it in EPFO and employment registry data.
Most applicants do not know their UAN, and asking for it stalls the journey. Starting from the mobile number you already collected removes that step and lets the rest of the employment verification chain run.

What if no UAN is found?
