What the Penny Drop Verify API does
Penny Drop Verify completes the asynchronous flow. You supply the reference ID returned by Penny Drop Initialize, along with the amount, and receive the settled result: whether the credit succeeded and the account holder name as recorded by the bank.
Results are idempotent, so polling the same reference more than once is safe and returns the same outcome. That makes the pairing straightforward to build a reliable, retry-tolerant pipeline around.

What if the result is still pending?
The API says so explicitly. Keep polling with a backoff; a pending state means the bank has not settled the credit yet, not that the account has failed.
Is it safe to call more than once?
Yes. The call is read-only against a settled verification and returns the same result each time, so retries cannot trigger a second transfer.
Does it perform the name match for me?
It returns the bank's recorded name. Comparing that against your own record is your decision, since acceptable tolerance for initials and spelling varies by policy.
